Syntest is used to treat symptoms associated with menopause.

How Syntest DS is usually taken
Take this medication as your physician prescribed. If the tablets upset your stomach, take them with food or milk. Take your doses at regular intervals; estrogen-methyltestosterone combinations work best when taken at the same time each day. Do not take more or less of it or take it more often than prescribed by your doctor. Do not stop taking this medication without first talking to your doctor.

Potential Side Effects of Syntest DS
Some possible side effects include: upset stomach, stomach cramps, deepening or hoarseness of the voice, enlargement of the clitoris, thinning of hair, diarrhea, appetite and weight changes, acne, swelling of the hands, feet, or lower legs (fluid retention), increased blood pressure, breast tenderness, enlargement, or secretion, nausea, vomiting, changes in menstrual flow, painful or missed periods, headache, change in sex drive, anxiety, and depression.
