Take this medication as your physician prescribed. Phentermine is best taken on an empty stomach one-half hour before breakfast with a full glass of water—take it whole—do not crush the pill. Avoid taking phentermine late in the day because it may cause sleeplessness. Do not take it more often or longer than directed because phentermine is habit forming.

Potential Side Effects of Phentermine
Dry mouth, sleeplessness, headaches, nervousness, impotence or change in sex drive, irritability, stomach upset or constipation may occur the first few days as your body adjusts to the medication. If these effects persist inform your doctor.
