Typical uses of Ortho Evra
Ortho Evra is a patch that contains hormones similar to birth control pills and is used to prevent pregnancy. The hormones are released from the patch slowly over time.

How Ortho Evra is usually taken
Use this medication as your physician instructs you. Apply one patch to an area of clean, dry skin on the buttock, abdomen, upper outer arm, or upper body (torso) exactly as directed by your doctor. Wear this patch for one week. After 7 days, remove the old patch and apply a new patch. Follow this cycle for 3 weeks (3 patches equal 1 cycle). After your third patch is removed, you will have one week without using the patch.

Potential Side Effects of Ortho Evra
Nausea, vomiting, dizziness, headache, redness or itching at the patch application site, breast tenderness, or vaginal discomfort/irritation.. If any of these effects persist or worsen, contact your physician.
