Didrex is similar to an amphetamine and is used as an appetite suppressant. It should be used in conjunction with an overall diet plan and exercise for short-term management of obesity.

How Didrex is usually taken
Take this medication as your physician prescribed and remember that it is habit-forming. Take this medicine about 30 minutes before a meal with a full glass of water. Take your last dose of the day at least 4 to 6 hours before bedtime because it may cause insomnia. If you are taking this medicine 1 time a day; take your dose in the morning.

Potential Side Effects of Didrex
Blurred vision, dizziness, dry mouth, sleeplessness, irritability, stomach upset or constipation may occur the first few days as your body adjusts to the medication. If these effects persist or become bothersome, inform your doctor.
