Cyclobenzaprine is a skeletal muscle relaxant. It relieves muscle spasms of local origin but is not effective in spasms which originate from diseases in the brain or spinal cord. Cyclobenzaprine, along with rest and physical therapy helps relieve muscle spasms associated with painful musculoskeletal conditions.

How Cyclobenzaprine is usually taken
Take this medication as your physician prescribed, but usually it is taken in a 10 mg tablet three times a day or 20-40 mg each day in divided doses. Do not exceed 60 mg daily.

Potential Side Effects of Cyclobenzaprine
Drowsiness, dryness of the mouth, and dizziness.
