How Ambien is usually taken
Take this medication as your physician prescribed. Take Ambien orally right before bedtime on an empty stomach. Ambien is usually taken for short periods of 7 to 10 days and do not exceed this unless prescribed by your physician.

Potential Side Effects of Ambien
Daytime drowsiness, dizziness, headache, nausea, stomach upset, vomiting, diarrhea, lightheadedness, and dry mouth may occur. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, contact your physician.
