How Acyclovir is usually taken
Take this medication as your physician prescribed. Following prescription directions carefully and take with a full glass of water and on a full stomach (to prevent an upset stomach). Shake medicine before ingesting and continue to take for duration of prescription even if you feel better.

Potential Side Effects of Acyclovir
Side effects often do occur and continue to take medicine and contact your physician if you experience: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, decreased appetite, or abdominal pain, a headache or lightheadedness and joint pain.
